LLOYD JOHNSON

Pastor Aaron Lloyd Johnson, known as "a humble servant," is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Restoration Community Christian Church (RCCC) located in Manassas, Virginia. He is a devoted member of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, serving under the leadership of Bishop Wesley T. Cherry Sr., Virginia’s State Bishop. Pastor Johnson’s commitment to service is evident through his roles both within and beyond the church. He currently serves as Chaplain for the Prince William County Police Department and is an active member of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. His outreach extends to the incarcerated, as he leads Evening Worship Services every first Sunday at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center and quarterly at Nottaway Correctional Center in Burkeville, Virginia. Additionally, Pastor Johnson is a participant in the PWC Jail Mentoring Program and conducts weekly Bible Study sessions with his colleagues at the Department of Transportation.
Pastor Johnson is a graduate of Richmond Virginia Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor of Theological Studies. He went on to receive a Master of Theological Studies in Biblical Exposition from Andersonville Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Ministry in Pastoral Leadership. Before his pastoral career, Pastor Johnson served in the U.S. Navy for twelve years, completing deployments across the globe on various ships. After his military service, he joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Manassas, Virginia, in November 1992. In January 2002, he was ordained by Bishop Donald L. Smith as an Elder at Mount Calvary Baptist Church and The Whole Truth Ministries. On August 3, 2003, Pastor Johnson was installed as Assistant Pastor and Overseer of Greater Mount Calvary Outreach Center in Catharpin, Virginia, with the historic site officially reopening on August 10, 2003. During his tenure at Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church, he served in numerous capacities, including Associate Minister, New Disciples Teacher, Leadership Teacher, CED Core Member, Elder of Family Ministries, and Adjutant to the Bishop for 15 years.
On January 26, 2019, Pastor Johnson’s vision culminated in his installation as Senior Pastor of Restoration Community Christian Church in Manassas, Virginia, officiated by Drs. James and Glenda Sutton of Christian Life Church. His commitment to service is reflected in his regular donations of food to the Alternative Path Training School (APTS) in Manassas, as well as organizing an annual Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Pastor Johnson also provides weekly visits to Commonwealth Senior Living in Manassas, where he offers encouragement and love to the residents through scripture and song. Demonstrating a heart for global outreach, RCCC has adopted a child from the Dominican Republic through Compassion International. In July 2025, Pastors Aaron and Liz Johnson launched the Johnny M. Clemons P.R.E.S.S. Mentorship known as the “Barbershop.” The mission of this program is to create intentional, intergenerational spaces to mentor and equip young men and boys in leadership, cultural awareness, history, discipline, integrity, and identity. In October 2025, Pastors Aaron and Liz Johnson established Restoration Community Ministries, Inc. (RCMI), which serves as the central headquarters for three entities: Restoration Community Christian Church, Johnson and Johnson Outreach Ministries, and P.R.E.S.S. Mentorship. In addition, he joined the PWC NAACP Chapter in August 2025.
Outside his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Johnson is employed as a VDI Senior System Engineer for the Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C., through Leidos, a government contractor. He has been married to Dr. Elizabeth Byrd Johnson for 38 years, and together they have two children: LaToya Shantell and Ra’Shawn Durell. He also has another daughter, Elizabeth Miller. Pastor Johnson is dedicated to supporting the church and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of his favorite scriptures is: II Corinthians 5:20: “Now then we are Ambassadors for Christ!”

Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Johnson, originally from Florida, is a dedicated leader and servant within the faith community. She currently serves as Pastor of Restoration Community Christian Church in Manassas, Virginia, working in partnership with her husband, Pastor Aaron L. Johnson, who founded the church and serves as its Senior Pastor. Dr. Liz Johnson plays a significant role as the NOVA District Director for Full Gospel Baptist Church Daughters of the Promise. In May 2024, she was honored with a selection to serve on the African American Festival Committee in Manassas, VA. Additionally, she is actively involved as a Community Board member with Carriage House @ Sumner Lake, where she resides.
Dr. Liz holds both a Master of Ministry in Biblical Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Andersonville Theological Seminary, graduating with the Highest Distinction in both programs. With over 30 years of ministry service at Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church, Dr. Liz's contributions have spanned multiple areas, including Family Ministry, serving as Deaconess Chairperson, Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher of New Members, Master Trainer for Ministers, Deacons, and Deaconess, and Overseer of Benevolence.
Dr. Liz is the Founder of Johnson & Johnson Outreach Ministries. The organization’s mission is “To partner with organizations and ministries in the community so that our humanitarian efforts may be used as opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all mankind.” She provides Biblical counseling in grief, premarital and marital relationships, addiction, forgiveness, and single parenting, aiming to restore hope and help individuals rediscover their God-given purpose.
Outreach and service efforts have included:
• Served as Spiritual Director on the Advisory Board and Clergy Team member for Kairos International at Central Virginia Correctional Unit (CVCU).
• Conducted monthly worship services at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas, Virginia with The Good News Jail and Prison Ministry.
• Partners with Bishop Gale Williams at Entrusted Connected Ministry, teaching a Forgiveness Class at The Life House.

Dr. Liz served for seven years in the U.S. Navy, including a four-year overseas tour in Greece. She is currently employed as a Human Resources Business Partner with Zeiders Enterprises, a government contractor based in Woodbridge, VA. She holds both the PHR and SHRM-CP Certifications in Human Resources. Dr. Liz has been married to Pastor Aaron Lloyd Johnson for 38 years, and together they have two children, LaToya Shantell and Ra’Shawn Durell. Her personal testimony is reflected in one of her favorite scripture, Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us!”
