Our History & Purpose

Restoration Community Christian Church was established by Pastor Aaron L. Johnson in January 2019, with its foundation rooted in the message of 1 Peter 5:10. On January 26, 2019, Pastor Aaron L. Johnson and Elizabeth B. Johnson were ordained and installed as Senior Pastor and Pastor, respectively, by Rev. Dr. James E. Sutton, Senior Pastor of Christian Life Church. Shortly thereafter, the church officially opened its doors to the community on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Pastor Aaron L. Johnson believes that God revealed the church’s name to him as confirmation of his calling and his mission to serve the community. He is convinced that the name “Restoration Community Christian Church” carries significant meaning, as it reflects the church’s core values and purpose.

  • Restore: The church seeks to restore believers to a right relationship with God by sharing the love of Christ.

  • Community: Emphasizing the importance of relationships, Restoration Community Christian Church focuses first on a relationship with God (vertical) and then on building relationships with others (horizontal), thereby serving the broader community.

  • Christian: The congregation affirms its belief in the Divine Godhead, consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Their faith centers on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • Church: The church teaches that believers themselves are the church, not the building. The congregation gathers in the sanctuary to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.
